Integrated ePOS & internet shop

PosWeb is an e-commerce system which fully integrates with the widely used Seanic Retail ePOS software. Aimed at small to medium sized retailers, it allows you to conduct business on your web site and in store with one integrated solution, greatly reducing the administrative overhead associated with managing separate systems.

By adding POSweb to the Seanic Retail system you will achieve an easy to use, integrated ePOS/eCommerce system at a considerably lower cost compared with other integrated ePOS systems.

Look and Feel is of course important and POSweb can be integrated with an existing design, or your web site can be re designed from the ground up by our expert graphic designer.

POSweb includes an easy to use Content Management System which works in harmony with Retail Manager and allows you to do the following:

  • Simple but effective online shopping for your customers
    The POSweb philosophy of simple and intuitive design means your customers shopping experience is quick and easy. Shipping costs are displayed right in the shopping cart so your customers are always aware of the order total before they get to the check out. This results in less abandoned carts and increased sales for your business.
  • Immediate stock availability information on your web site
    Stock level information is always available to your website so the system can be configured to remove the shopping cart icon or simply present a suitable message immediately the stock level reaches 0. The stock level view can be taken from all branches or a single, pre defined stocking location. Online orders are immediately recorded in the Retail Manager database so your sales stats and stock levels are always up to date.
  • Single source for product pricing information & changes
    Price updates carried out on your Retail Manager back office system will be immediately visible on your web site and maintaining different in-store an on-line prices is easily achieved. What could be simpler than having one screen where you can edit your in-store, special-offer and web site prices all at once.
    Product information is taken from the product data already in your Seanic system and with the addition of a picture and a few simple changes your products can be on your website and selling in a very short time.
  • Integrated order management and customer notification
    POSweb Manager includes an order management module which gives you instant access to all your on line order details. and a simple management screen makes managing dispatch of those orders a breeze. Customised receipts and address labels can be printed right from the order management screen. In addition the system can automatically email, or SMS text your customer with notification of shipment when the order is dispatched.
  • Multiple price fields allow In Store, On Line and RRP to be displayed on your web site
    The system can be configured with multiple price fields allowing you to show Web Site, In-Store and RRP if you wish. It can also display the calculated saving over RRP on the 'price ticket'.
  • Easy to use management interface with WYSIWYG editor
    POSweb Manager is the management console for your web site content and provides an easy to use interface for updating product categories, product detail views, news items, information pages, search keywords and much more. The now standard WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor makes creating great looking product descriptions easy. No technical knowledge required.
  • Product Size and Colour options
    Where a product is available in various sizes and/or in different colours these can be easily set up. Information such as the product description and image only has to be entered once and can be shared across the range of products. Each option of course has it's own stock number (SKU). Pricing can be by group or individual option. The available options can be presented in a variety of ways on the product page.
  • Integrated customer database and business reporting
    POSweb shares a common database with the Seanic Retail system which means the extensive built in reporting and mailshot facilites of Seanic Retail are immediately applicable to your on line business too. Customised reports can be added on request.
  • User configurable department/category structure
    The product categories and menu structure of your web site will initially reflect the Departments you have set up in your Seanic Retail database. However these can be altered and added to in POSweb without interfering with your Point of Sale systems. Product menus can descend to any depth although practicality would suggest a limit of 3 or 4 levels.
  • Hide or display products or categories with a single click
    Individual products or whole categories can be enabled or disabled simply in POSweb manager with a single click of the mouse. This means you can develop a new range over time and then launch it in one go or easily switch seasonal ranges on and off as your business requires.
  • Internet order fulfillment from any branch
    If you have a multi branch business you can configure the system to fulfil orders (debit stock) from any branch or from a specifically set up 'warehouse'
  • Secure payment processing with SagePay, PayPal or both
    The standard POSweb system supports both the SagePay payment gateway for all credit card transactions and PayPal. SagePay are one of the leading providers of credit card processing and provide an extremely secure and efficient service at a very reasonable rate. Your bank may require you to set up a separate merchant account for on line transactions. Other payment gateways may be available on request.
  • News system for breaking news, short term offers etc
    POSweb Manager provides a simple editor for news items which can form part of your web site design. News items can be pre prepared then set to launch on a specific date and to end on a pre set later date. This is a useful feature for advertising limited time offers, product launches etc.
  • Optional postcode lookup for easier buying experience and a more accurate customer database.
    The optional postcode lookup facility simplifies the buying process for your customer by allowing them to simply enter their postcode and click a button, then select their house number and the address form is completed for them. Strict checking on self entered postcodes and other fields also helps to ensure that customer details are accurately recorded.
  • Specific enhancements for the bicycle industry
    For the bicycle industry we have developed some great enhancements not available in other software packages. Your internet orders can be posted directly to the repair manager in you ePOS system, further reducing your administrative overhead. For more details on this please contact us as below.

    POSweb is a flexible product, unlike many template driven systems each implementation is built specifically around your requirements and so can be customised to fit your business needs much more closely than many competing products

  • What about hosting, can I use my existing provider?
    In order to achieve the best performance and reliability for both your ePOS system and your web site, we reccommend using our hosting service. POSweb hosting is provided by a leading hosting provider, based on highly reliable unix servers, monitored 24 hours x 365 days a year and fully backed up. Please contact us for further details of our hosting packages.
  • Does POSweb work as a stand alone product?
    No. POSweb is designed to fully integrate with the Seanic Retail system so is not available as a stand alone product. If you require a stand alone eCommerce system with advanced content management we can provide such a solution but it will be more loosely integrated with your ePOS system.
  • What about products which are not for sale online?
    Products can be set as visible but not active which allows you to display products which for some reason are not available for online sale.

Setting up

The Seanic Retail Software + POSweb system is flexible and customisable to your needs. In most cases it can be tailored to suite your business requirements and where necessary, engineered into your existing website. If you are already using Seanic Retail Software then setting up is straighforward and once the site design is completed you can be transacting business on line very quickly.

Cost

POSweb is tailored to your individual needs and we will therefore provide a quotation for design and implementation once we understand your exact requirements.

For a small monthly maintenance charge well make sure your site continues to run smoothly and install updates and enhancements as they become available.

Hosting price is dependent on the size of your Seanic Retail database and again, this will be advised once your requirements are fully understood.
